Finding Your Core Frequency: It's Messy, It's Real, It's You
& The Unfiltered No BS Truth About Your Spiritual Awakening
Let’s talk about our core frequency. Not the watered-down, Instagram or tiktok friendly version. Just the raw, messy truth.
First off, let me tell you where I’m at. I’m a system engineer. Or I was… Or… I don’t know. I’m finishing up civil service, about to jump back into the corporate world for a hot minute before I create or step into my own path.
Yeah, it’s confusing. Messy. Kinda scary. But you know what?
That’s exactly where the good stuff happens.
See, I used to think I had it all mapped out. Good job, clear career path, the whole nine yards. But something kept nagging at me.
Not just your average “man, work sucks” feeling.
More like a full-blown “what am I doing with my life and who the hell am I” crisis. That, my friends, is your core frequency trying to break through.
Can you relate to any of this?

First, let’s head back a few years:
2020. Pandemic. Lockdowns. The world turned upside down. And in the middle of all that chaos, I had this moment.
I was on a hill near my place, watching the sunset, listening to “The Power of Now.” And bam. Something shifted.
For weeks after, I was riding this high of just… being. No past, no future, just now. It was wild.
Then, reality kicked back in and my “ego” came back, but something had changed.
Since then, I’ve been on this crazy journey. Now I’m about to ditch the corporate world and travel in a campervan and creating my own projects and business with people from all over the world.
Sounds nuts, right? But it feels right.
So, what have I learned on this wild ride? Here’s the no-BS version:
When everything feels wrong, you’re probably onto something. That discomfort? It’s your internal compass pointing you somewhere important.
Your brain and your gut will duke it out. Let them. The truth usually lies somewhere in the middle of that mess.
You don’t need hours of meditation or some fancy spiritual practice. Just ask yourself: “What feels true right now?” Warning: the answer might scare the crap out of you.
If you think you’ve got life figured out, you’re probably kidding yourself. None of us really know what we’re doing, and that’s okay.
When your choices start ruffling feathers, you’re likely on the right track. Your authentic self isn’t here to make everyone else comfortable.

Now, I’m not gonna hand you a roadmap. This is your expedition.
But here’s a little exercise that’s helped me:
What’s the craziest thing you want to do?
The thing that makes you think, “No way, not possible.”
Got it? Now flip the script: “What if it was possible? What then?”
Pay attention. To the crazy ideas that won’t leave you alone. To the stuff that terrifies you. To the dreams you can’t shake no matter how hard you try.
Sit with that for a while. Let it make you uncomfortable. That unease? That’s growth. That’s you syncing up with your frequency.
Look, this journey isn’t easy. It’s not always fun. Sometimes it feels like you’re dismantling your entire life and rebuilding from scratch.
But let me tell you, it’s worth it.
Because when you finally align with your true frequency, things shift.
Opportunities materialize out of thin air. The right people show up at the right time. The world starts responding to you differently.
It’s not magic. (and yet it is)
It’s not some cosmic woo-woo. (and yet..it kind of is)
It’s you, finally operating as your authentic self.
So, what’s your move? Are you ready to dive into the static and emerge with your unique signal? Or are you gonna keep playing it safe, living someone else’s version of your life?
Your frequency is waiting. Time to tune in and turn up the volume.
Got thoughts? Think I’m talking nonsense? Bring it on. Let’s get real about this messy, beautiful journey of finding our true self.
After all, we’re all stumbling through this madness together. Might as well compare notes, right?
PS: I am creating a lot of content now on YouTube. Here’s a recent guided meditation for you to help you step into your core frequency:

Yea, something similar happened to me in 2020 too! I recall buying a sticker for my bike ride across India in the Fall of 2019, it said: "If you are losing the game change the rules." And I didn't really know what it meant at the time, but that I liked it. And by a year later, I knew. Time for me to own the Reset. So it went like this with my wife:
Lets go, lets get out of here.
Where?
Choose someplace, anywhere!
How about Zanzibar?
Now we live in Tanzania, rebuilding everything in our life, finding new friends, finding new work, and really stepping into my life. Amidst raising children the past twenty years, we'd completely forgotten our dream from being in the Peace Corps in Africa, but in Zanzibar, we remembered it again.
So now I am off in a month to our land for good, five acres of peace and an orchard I started with hundreds of trees two years ago, with lots of new expat friends, a new language to speak (Swahili) and building something for the future.
Easy? Hah, the most difficult thing I've ever done. But so little resistance along the way, and doors continually opening, that it was really just a matter of keeping to the details and moving toward the goal with faith in the vision.
Great post! At the moment I'm mired in the chaos and some days it's difficult to see if I've made any progress. I know I have, people are falling out of my life, which comes with a certain amount of sadness but it feels like absolutely the right thing to do. But... (I've got a shopping list of excuses with which to fill in the blanks 😁). Ah well, tomorrow is a new day😁
