How to Fragment Dreams Into Daily Habits Until You Reach Them
We all have big and small dreams, but they often feel so far away, making our current life seem grey compared to the colourful life of our dreams.
However, dreams can also act as a guide on what you should do to change your life. Many dreams are way too big, oversized, and pretty unrealistic.
Nevertheless, they can still act as a compass to help you find out more about yourself, what you really want in life, and how you can grow.
This article took a lot of work, so get cozy and take the time to read it. Please share it on social media (like twitter) or restack if you like it. Thanks🙏
But How Do You Start?
Achieving a dream is mostly not that easy if we see it as one big chunk. But if we break this dream into many small pieces and put those pieces into even smaller fragments, such fragments or pieces become more graspable.
Those small pieces and fragments can be turned into habits. Building habits is key to achieving larger parts of your dreams or larger parts of your vision.
Think about it. Dreams are often lofty, sometimes so grand that they seem intimidating. They’re like mountains in the distance, beautiful but daunting.
To reach them, we need a path, a series of steps that we can take every day. That’s where the magic of habit comes in.
Habits are the building blocks of our lives. They’re the small, repeated actions that, over time, add up to big changes. It’s like watering a plant. Each day, a little water, a little sunshine, and gradually, it grows, it flourishes.
Your dreams are the same. By breaking them down into daily habits, you nurture them, you give them life.
Ask yourself how and what you can do to split this dream into many areas and from there, ask yourself:
What Small Actions Can You Take Each Day to Edge Closer to It?
For instance, if your dream is to start a business, your daily habit could be as simple as reading an article on entrepreneurship, jotting down ideas, or networking with one person. If it’s to become more mindful, maybe it’s spending five minutes each morning in meditation or reflection.
To help you with this, I am currently growing a slack-channel where we can discuss those topics, learn from each other and even collab if you have a newsletter. Apply here if you are interested in joining this community:)
Fitting to this article, I also have another newsletter that can help you with all of this.
Current Newsletter Reccomendation: I recently stumbled upon the newsletter from Kody, Habit Examples. It fits well with things that interest me (and probably you) and helps with habit building.
I reached out and we decided to collaborate.
He currently runs a promotion where you can win many prizes that help you grow, become more mindful, and make 2024 your best year! (12 months of Calm, 12 months of audible, etc etc.)
If you are interested, visit this site, enter your email (while subscribing to their newsletter and two others), and possibly win one of many big rewards! Good luck.🍀

Remember, the goal isn’t to overhaul your life overnight. It’s to introduce small changes, steps that are so tiny they seem almost laughable.
But it’s these small steps, consistently taken, that lead to profound transformation. And as you build these habits, there’s a beautiful sense of fulfillment that grows.
You’re not just dreaming; you’re doing. Each day brings you closer to your goal, and with each step, your confidence grows.
You start to see the change, feel it.
But let’s be real — it’s not always a smooth journey.
There will be very hard days where you don’t have the energy, think your life is falling apart, get overwhelmed by fears and anxiety + lose hope.
In those days, don’t pressure yourself to much. Do not do to many things.
Don’t be so cold with yourself, give yourself some warmth, show yourself what you already did, cuddle under a blanket with a tea and reflect for a moment.
For such days, I want to build this slack channel community i mentioned above. My idea is that we support each other through our monthly goals and document them together in this channel. As already said, you can apply using the typeform above.
So here’s to 2024, a year of turning our goals into sustainable practices.
Let’s break down our dreams into daily habits and watch as they slowly, but surely, become our reality.
We can do this together, you are not alone. Support is here, and more support is coming…
