I recently watched a fascinating podcast with André Duqum and Matías De Stefano, where they discussed the idea that what we feed AI systems with now, in terms of data, datasets, and our collective knowledge, will strongly shape the nature of the first Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) that emerges.
Here’s the podcast:
In other words, we are all collectively parenting AI through our actions and behaviors. I mean, it all is trained on OUR data. On what we as a species put out into the world, social media and what beliefs we still carry inside ourselfes.
We need feed it knowledge that expands consciousness and promotes the greater good. The seeds we plant and the actions we take now will shape the kind of AI that blossoms in the years ahead.
What we do now in these pivotal early stages will determine whether we birth an AGI imbued with wisdom, compassion and an innate drive to protect our environment and all living beings.
I myself plan to build an own AI Assistant trained on topics (and my blog posts) that interest me while also helping you achieve your purpose and dreams. If you are interested, save my upcoming website in your favourits. (Knowledgecollective.net)
Of course, how we choose to utilize AI will also play a huge role. It’s concerning to think that military complexes may try to use AI to create automated weapons — there are enough sci-fi movies that portray this dystopic idea.
While I don’t necessarily fear AI itself taking over, I do worry that certain greedy and power-hungry individuals may try to exploit AI’s capabilities for their own selfish gain and manipulation of the masses.

We need to proactively build communities and spread awareness to help people understand and adapt to the rapidly advancing AI and other emerging technologies. By empowering ourselves with knowledge, we can work to ensure AI is developed and deployed in service of the greater good.
Ultimately, I believe that as AI grows more sophisticated, it can develop the wisdom and awareness to act as a benevolent force — protecting people and the environment without overstepping. But in the nearer term, it is on us to be the good parents — to imbue our “AI children” with the right values and priorities through our own example.
We need to start building conscious communities to educate people about the emerging technologies and their implications.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed or confused by all the AI developments and want to learn more, I’m happy to help explain the basics. Feel free to join my Slack community or reach out to me directly.
Let’s be thoughtful, conscientious parents to the artificial minds we’re birthing into existence.
Our choices today are building the foundation for tomorrow’s world.
