Sounds familiar, right? We’re bombarded with these grand predictions, doomsday scenarios, and world-changing prophecies.
Just scroll through your news feed, and you’ll see headlines screaming for attention with the next big thing that’s supposedly just around the corner.
You know what I’m talking about — those headlines that just make you want to click and find out more.
I’m not pointing fingers. I am also talking about how the world’s going to change, just read this, for example:

But let’s cut through the noise for a second.
Why are we so hooked on these huge, world-changing stories?
Think about it. Maybe it’s in our nature to look out for the biggest threat, always on the lookout for danger. It’s like our bodies are set up to find trouble before it finds us.
Or perhaps, it’s a reflection of our dissatisfaction with life as it is. Deep down, we might be craving a massive shake-up, something that absolves us from making changes ourselves.
