The Sun Isn't Forcing the Rain to Pass, so Why Are You Forcing Light To Come?
To Keep the Flow, Let Go of Keeping The Flow
The sun doesn’t yell at the rain to stop falling. It doesn’t try to force the clouds away.
It simply shines brightly when it’s time, and lets the rain pass when it must.
So why can’t we do that?
We Grasp and Cling to Desired Outcomes
We often try too hard to make things happen on our own timeline. We grasp and cling to the outcomes we desire, rather than letting life unfold naturally.
It’s like when you’re so thirsty for a drink of water. The more desperately you gulp it down, the more you choke. But when you relax and sip it slowly, it flows smoothly and refreshing.
We think we need to push and pull the flow to go our way. But the Dao teaches wu wei — effortless action.
Being in alignment, not resistance.
Pushing Against the Natural Flow
Imagine floating gently down a winding river. You feel the currents, you steer softly. But you don’t thrash against the water or try to paddle upstream. You trust the river’s natural movement.
When we’re aligned with the Tao, things happen in their own perfect timing. Without forcing or expectation. We act from inner stillness, not hurried chasing.
This doesn’t mean being passive. We still set clear intentions, visualize outcomes, and take inspired action. We just hold it all lightly rather than with rigid attachment.

Letting Go Allows Life to Unfold; Things Happen in Perfect Timing
As we awaken, we feel called toward our soul’s purpose. This stirs up intense desire for our dreams to manifest NOW. But this very urgency blocks the natural flow.
The more we try to grasp, the more elusive it becomes. We end up feeling drained, pushing endlessly uphill. Only when we let go and relax back do the doors fly open.
So next time you feel yourself straining for results, remember the sun and the rain. Effortless allowing. Wu wei. Align and flow, don’t force and fight.
Keep vision strong but attachment light.
The river knows the way. The clouds will pass. The sun always shines. All in perfect timing.
