Wonderful! I'm #AllIn. Would love to help grow your wonderful project, though I will say the image you chose for this article gnaws at me. It's time people understood why they should take such ideas as mountaintops and summiting with a grain of salt. I'm completing a book right now that shows how all of our problems and failures were triggered by an event on top of a mountain in Eastern Turkey. Suffice to say it's no coincidence that our word "Satan" stems from "shaitan," whose roots in the region are associated with the word "mountain." It is precisely for ideas like this that we need platforms like yours to keep people on track and pay attention to their inner gardens...
Thanks for that comment! I didn't know of this story or where this word stems from. Thanks for clarifying!
If this story is saying to enjoy the journey instead of always wanting to be on the mountaintop, that's what I think too; however, I believe balance is important because if you enjoy the journey so much that you lose the path, then you cannot set goals and create new stuff anymore because you are lost in "the journey", which I personally think is fun and part of life.
So essentially what I mean is to balance "enjoying the journey" and "focusing on a destination."
You don't technically need to know the story or understand its motivations because like I say you're on a great path. One thing that disturbs me about our group on LinkedIn is that while we have tons of inspiring, uplifting content, there are too few tangible methods, tips, & practices on how to reach those "lofty heights" you imply in your post. What attracts me most about your platform is that it seems to be well-grounded and solution-oriented. As long as you keep putting in the work, you'll be fine.
I will say it always helps to understand the why: in this case why mountaintops can be dangerous. Almost universally these sacred places were viewed before Event Zero–about 4,500-5,000 years ago–as being for higher purposes, connection to the Great Spirit of your choice, etc–WHILE remaining firmly grounded in one's place on solid ground. Event Zero told us we should head for the heavens to shoot "fiery arrows" at god's seat and to, if possible, take his place.
Journey on, my friend. You're on a great path, with or without a specific destination.
