When You Face Resistance, It's Usually a Sign to Reevaluate
Turning Resistance Into Opportunity by Using This Technique
It’s actually stunning how fast the body can lose or gain energy in a certain time frame. When you force something, your energy drains rapidly. But when something comes from a place of authenticity, joy and power, you feel energized and alive.
Learning to notice when your body tenses up takes practice, but it’s so worth it. In any situation or at any time, when you feel that tension rising, pausing is often the best option. Before surrendering to what your mind tells you to do next, go into the tension.
Observe it, relax, breathe in.
Do something different.
Pause again and reflect.
Often, that tension is a sign that what you’re doing comes from a place of lack or inauthenticity. From a place of “I need to do this or else something terrible will happen that will ultimately “destroy” my life.”
Sound familiar? 😅 We’ve all been there.
Go deep into the fear you feel when you observe that emotion or tension. For example, when you fear meeting certain types of people, remind yourself that even in the worst case scenario, it will pass.
You will get back into your life and rejuvenate. This too shall pass.
The resistance is actually an opportunity to reevaluate. To ask yourself — is this aligned with my authentic self? Is this coming from a place of joy, purpose and power? Or am I acting out of fear, lack or obligation?
When you start living more from that place of authenticity, magic happens. Synchronicities unfold. Opportunities arise. You feel in flow and energized rather than drained and depleted. But it takes awareness and practice to get there.
So next time you feel that tension, that resistance — celebrate it!
It’s a chance to pause, go within, and pivot to a more aligned path. One small choice at a time, you’ll start shaping a life that feels wonderfully, uniquely YOU.
And isn’t that what we all want in the end? To express our truest selves and share our gifts with the world? The resistance is just a guide pointing us back to our north star.

Hmmm this really has me thinking
I have found that when I try to force things they don’t happen as I’d like. I’ve been looking for work and just feel a sense of dread about the prospect of working at certain places or in some industries. I’m actually glad I didn’t get some of the positions I tried for because I got an instant headache when even thinking about them.
